The Elbe with its harbour cranes lay before me like a ribbon on that Sunday in February. The Elbe beach was slowly filling up and I looked out from Övelgönne at the huge yet somehow graceful cranes. Every now and then a ship sailed past. A beautiful day!
This painting was the result of this inspiration. The colour was applied in several layers on acrylic filler. The canvas structure disappears completely.
